Whatever!
Hello dear friends and family!
Wow! Another interesting week!
Here,in Maturin, we can find surprises almost everyday! I'm not sure if it is because of the beginning of our journey or because Maturin is a surprise each day! Well, I guess we will know about this when we say goodbye to Venezuela.
Anyway, I'd like to begin this newsletter with a magical word,...." whatever", wow, this word can be used in so many situations here, it's magical because when you say it to yourself or even when you don't say it but you think about the word, you can have fun and understand and accept the moment!
What a fantastic word to describe the city!
Today for example we went shopping, we wanted to buy paper, just the plain normal regular white paper, so we went to the "papeleria" and we found it!!!!!!! We were so happy! When it was time to pay for the paper, a very polite cashier asked me about my ID or passport, and name, and I said that I didn't bring my ID, or passport. The cashier told me that for the next time I should bring my passport because if you want to buy anything we must have a identification even for the regular plain white paper that cost no more then 4 dollars! So, I told her just put any number you want for my ID!!!!!! Whatever!
Here is like that, we can try, but sometimes we can't find, so, whatever!
We can ask, but sometimes they can't hear, so, whatever!
We can wait, but sometimes they don't come, so, whatever!
We can plan, but sometimes they cancel, so, whatever!
We expect the truth, but sometimes the truth is not appreciated, so, whatever!
Anyway, this word is useful for us! Works fine, it's like a escape, is like a remote control when you press the button "Whatever" you can laugh and relax and understand the way things are here. After a while you can get tired of being surprised all the time, so you just press the button and say it whatever and it's over.
Even with so many whatever we are happy and grateful for being here, this experience is priceless, even with "whatever" we had found good people, we had been blessed in so many ways, we can see God all the way working in every detail, bringing happiness and peace in the land of whatever!
But now let me share our new accomplishment!!!!!!!! We moved to our house!!!! Yeah! at the beginning we though moving to a house it will take months, but thanks God, we are here, in our house, we moved in the 4th of July!!!!!! Double celebration! By the way,.... to all Americans, and fans of America, Happy 4th of July! We celebrated too! We love America!
So, the best news of the week, we have a house!
From the "whatever" city, this is us, searching for wisdom and even more strength to really understand this new world, to reach hearts and move forward in that big stair that I mentioned last month. In the end I know that we will understand the so many whys and the answers will be another surprise!
Like always,.... we miss you!
Hope everybody is having fun!
