Let's cook!

People says that images say more than words.....
Others say that what our eyes don't see our heart doesn't feel!

And I say: " knowledge is freedom"!

Well, today I decided to dedicated this post for all the Venezuelan people who "see" and who "doesn't see"!

In this unique place , I have a feeling that the new century is not here yet!
In the most parts of the world we have options, we have high-tech gadgets helping us, we have the basics above and beyond, we have freedom to choose, and again, we have options!

Last week we had our first cooking gas experience.
Here is like this: we have to subscribe and wait a month to gas deliver service begins or we stay in line for more than an hour under the sun in the summer time with the noise of cars crossing the road and wave dust all over the sky!!!!!!!!!!! So, the options are not 21st century! But the need is so last centuries!!!!!!!!!!!!
What to do? Get a headache in line or wait a month? Well, hire someone nice and brave enough to do this favor!
We did hired someone..... in this planet we have to be creative and opened to try new things!
We were so glad to pay for this service, in the other hand, we were helping the person too, because here money is hard to get. So, in the end everybody was happy!

We took pictures to show how last century is the cooking gas service here! And like always we have to find the funny part of it..... the funny part was listen the stories people told us about how to get the " bombona" ! Is like this: you go there, wait, wait, wait, and wait and say : " I want my bombona, I want my bombona, give me my bombona, give me my bombona" several times until the people got tired to listen to you and they sell the bombona!!!!!!! Imagine yourself doing that!!!!!!! It's sad , but let's try to have fun and enjoy the memories of the last centuries!

If people have cooking gas, what else they need? Did you say it cooking oil? If so, yes you are right! Last week the Venezuelan people had the cooking oil day! It was a unique moment seeing people rushing to buy cooking oil. We were at the grocery store and suddenly we saw a lot of people buying the same thing, and then I realized it was a cooking oil day or a blessing day? For me was a blessing and probably for them too!

For those who "see" and those who "doesn't see", for those who knows and who doesn't know the new century, let's cook our daily little problems and make a new dish full of knowledge, enjoying the challenges, trying to find the beauty and always trusting that the power of God is surround us like the wonderful smelling of a fresh bread leaving the oven!

With much love,
G, V, V, & O.
