WELCOME TO MALAYSIA

Selamat Datang ke Malaysia, Dear reader, it's a pleasure to welcome you to our new hometown! Yes, we are in Malaysia! Selamat Datang! It's a new adventure, new everything! It's different from our last adventure, here things are easier, but, believe me, we are still learning and appreciating all the experiences. Since we are here almost for 3 years, I will try to summarize our story. Leaving Venezuela was kind of a avalanche, everybody running down the hill, trying to escape the massive force of cold snow. Yes, our departing was fast and furious LOL! It was different from the other ones, but we managed pretty well, I prayed a lot and for sure God listened my pray in the red planet soil. From there to here, Kuala Lumpur, the city of towers, sky scrapping buildings, jungles, monkeys, diversity, smelling fruit, friendly people and summer all year long! I believe you will enjoy the journey! Be prepare to smell the spices, look to the tall buildings, walk with birds, ...
Goodbye Red Planet   This post I wrote 3 years ago, sorry I took too much time to publish!   After 6 years that Moment arrived. That moment that I thought since my first hour in the country, since when I took my first step in the Venezuelan soil and looked to the right and left and I saw nothing but despair. Yes, we left the red planet 3 years ago. I don't have much to say, I planned my leaving during those 6 years in just one way and I failed! I was planning to say goodbye with a huge smile to the immigration officer before leaving the country, but I couldn't. I was sad and I couldn't said the word goodbye neither give a smile, I said see you later. How could I said see you later if I knew I would never come back, if I knew that I didn't have a home in that country anymore?! After everything that happened there, all the things I learned and lived, all the great experiences and nice people that I met, I was sad to say goodbye! Venezuela, the red planet, the cou...

Hello dear readers, Today I woke up inspired to write this post. I was thinking about the tragedies our world is facing, also about the sadness, the corruptions, the lies, all the terrible attitudes that human beings can have if they do not have moral, principles, conscious and love to share. Why is the world is like that? Why did the world became a hard place to be, why did the moral and good manners became jokes, neglected and are not being seen as the most precious treasure? Here in planet Venezuela, things are worse than ever, the lack of food and other goods are making people crazy. There are lines everywhere to find the basics, there are soldiers with heavy guns all over the cities, the grocery stores are closed to regular clients, only  people who stand in lines can buy the  products that the government allows to sell, these products are controlled  by the government, they control the price and the quantity  that each person can buy. For example they sol...

Empty minds, empty bowls

Summer vacation is almost over, school is about to start in less than two days, and now is the time to start over, to take another step into the future.  Of course the end of vacation is sad for kids, but I always tell them if they want to finish College they have to walk all the way, there is no shortcuts, simple as that! And that though made me think about how our choices affects our future forever! Our life choices determine who we will be, where we will be and how we will be. We need to be alert, we need full fill our minds wisely, use our time in the best way and work hard to accomplish our goals, yes goals, not dreams. Dreams are for the dreamers, goals are for the ones who wake up everyday and go for it! We can't expect to get what we wish for, we only can expect what we work for it, another " simple as that"! In the planet Venezuela we see and heard so much about how people managed to survive the economical crises. The Country is suffering so much, there is a...

METAMORPHOSIS

Image
Suddenly something came to my mind so I had to write this post. I was thinking about how our perspective changes with time, with facts and with experiences.  Three and half years ago I arrived in planet Venezuela with low expectations, and with one thought : "I'll be here for just one year, that's it". That's was what I thought! But, why did I arrived here thinking like that? Why did I judge the place without knowledge and experiences? Why? Because we are human beings! We tend to not accept what we don't understand and criticize what we don't know! Anyways, time and experiences are factors to help us in our process of transformation, they help us realize how little we know, how closed we can be sometimes! This month the planet Venezuela is facing a wake up call, facing thousands of brave people asking for peace, true, progress, etc...and here I am watching and thinking about what this country offered me in almost 4 years, a foreigner, what I have learned...

Hi dear readers, Our little adopted kitty "Bebe" inspired me to write this post. I noticed the little kitty who lives in our backyard is very alert about the beautiful and colorful birds flying from tree to tree in our garden. Every time the birds land in our trees they sing, and the kitty starts looking and planning how to get the yummy bird. This week I saw the little cat very alert about the birds but without success in capturing her lunch! But today around noon, our little cat finally conquered her mission, she had a beautiful yellow bird, she brought the unlucky bird to our door and with her best pose and showed us that her mission was accomplished with  pride and glory! Poor bird, glorious cat!  That's life, if we ignore the dangerous that surrounds us maybe someone get luck with our lack of care. If we don't pay attention to life maybe we will pay a huge price for our lack of responsibility. If we don't see the "signs" maybe we will  be lo...

Saving the napkin!

Image
Hi dear readers, Since a long time, buying things in planet Venezuela is a challenge, but now we are facing the worst  time ever! Some time ago a friend mentioned that in the future, because of the lack of food, we will have to eat soap!!!! Ironically, I can't find my favorite soap!!! Another day a friend suggested me to cut the paper napkin in half, because is hard to find napkins too! So, in the afternoon we cut the napkins! WOW! What can I say? No comments, just trying my best in saving, cutting, stocking, all kind of things. Even with this situation, we are good, we always have food on the table thank God, for the soap, we started using hotel soap we brought from our trip to Hawaii years ago! Every time we travel we bring food, soap, and now the newest product in our list is the toilet paper! LOL It's ridiculous to have to buy toilet paper in another Country, but what can we do????? From almost 3 & 1/2 years ago until now we are having the same problems, even wit...
